Aside from a varied daily changing menu, fresh fish and traditional South African dishes, The Chequers also offers accommodation, with a beautiful self contained apartment that sleeps up to five people that can be rented on b&b or half board basis.
Among the most popular features are the Friday themed menus, with recent successes including Spanish tapas, a Greek taverna night, and a Taste of Egypt. Upcoming theme nights can be viewed at our forth coming events all priced at £18.
‘We always try to make a visit to the Chequers as memorable as possible,’ said Pieter, who said that the restaurant attracts a loyal clientele from across the South East, as well as acting as a rendezvous for travellers from further a field.
